Both Meredith and Debbie had been tied down to glasses and contacts for most of their lives. After LASIK, they are finally free to live life to the fullest.
Meredith: Whenever I was 10 years old in fourth grade, I really couldn't see the chalkboard very well, and my dad had a friend who was an eye doctor, so he checked my eyes, and I ended up in glasses at 10 years old. Then I went into rigid glass permeable contacts.
With glass permeable lenses, you have to take them out every night. If you get any kind of eye makeup, or sometimes they slip off of your eye into the back of your eye and you can't find them, or they come out of your eye, and then you end up stepping on it while you're looking for it.
Debbie: I was a single mom at the time. Had, just basically wearing glasses all the time, your typical frustration. Taking them off to put sunglasses on. I finally realized as time went by, distance was becoming an issue.
Meredith: You get something that helps you calm yourself, but then you go back into the room, and they give you a blanket, and you lay down, and I think I fell asleep. I took a little nap before, so obviously I wasn't that nervous.
Debbie: Then they call you back to the back area where they put all the drops in there to relax your eyes and give you some more medicine to make sure that you are relaxed.
Meredith: Everybody was fantastic in telling you what to expect, what you were supposed to do, and walking you straight through it. The nurses back in the operating area, they were great. The whole process was, it was so easy, and it was much better than I thought it was going to be.
Debbie: Just waking up after the procedure and slowly but surely your vision is changing, and it's absolutely unbelievable. Putting on makeup, plucking my own eyebrows. I mean it's just the little tiny things.
Meredith: I went from not being able to see the E on the eye chart to seeing the bottom line in one day, and I can tell you, it's almost like a miracle.
Debbie: This has got to be the most friendliest, safest environment. It really is you feel like part of the family when you're here.
Meredith: Do not wait. Just do it. It's so worth it.
The number one thing we hear from our patients is that they wish they’d had Vision Correction sooner.
So the question for you is… why wait any longer?
