Our “20/20 or It's Free” Commitment
At ClearSight, our goal is always your best possible vision. In fact, most of our patients achieve results BETTER than 20/20. However, while most people qualify for our “20/20 or it’s free” commitment, there are a few whose visual systems don’t have the capacity to see 20/20. Since we believe in being 100% transparent, here is an overview of our commitment and links to the details of our current vision plans. Your ClearSight doctor will let you know if you do not qualify for the 20/20 commitment.
Inclusions for the 20/20 Commitment
- Before treatment, each eye must be capable of 20/20 vision with eyeglasses
- You must purchase a vision plan that includes our 20/20 Commitment. Retroactive purchase of plans is not permitted after the initial procedure.
- You must follow medical advice and attend post-operative appointments
- If 20/20 vision is not initially achieved, you must be willing to have laser vision correction enhancements, YAG laser treatments, or intraocular lens exchanges as recommended by your doctor and included in your plan at no additional charge.
Exclusions to the 20/20 Commitment
- Prior radial keratotomy, conductive keratoplasty, or
- History or development of diabetes, glaucoma, retinal pathology, or
- Prior cataract surgery or if our exam shows a developing cataract
Money Back Provision by Procedure
LASIK, SMILE LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL
For LASIK, SMILE, and EVO ICL, the Commitment is met when 20/20 distance vision is achieved for each eye individually. Qualified patients may request a refund if the Commitment is not met during the post-operative period included in their vision plan. For patient’s over age 40 whose goal is Blended Vision (where one eye is optimized for near vision), the commitment applies only to the eye optimized for distance vision.
CLR
For Custom Lens Replacement, the Commitment is met when 20/20 distance vision is achieved for either eye individually OR both eyes together. It does not apply to near vision. Qualified patients may request a refund if the Commitment is not met during the post-operative period included in their vision plan.
Procedures Covered by Medical Insurance
Our “20/20 or it’s free” commitment is available only for elective procedures not covered by medical insurance such as LASIK, ICL, and CLR. It is not available for procedures covered by medical insurance, such as cataract removal. For elective procedures, you are responsible for the entire cost, and there are no copays, coinsurance, or deductibles.
If you have cataracts, you may have the option to have a portion of your procedure covered by insurance, and you may be responsible for copays, deductibles, or co-insurance on the covered portion of procedures like cataract removal. You would be responsible for the entire cost of any non-covered services provided.
