What Does it Mean to see better than 20/20?
Understanding 20/20 Vision and Beyond
At ClearSight LASIK & Lens, we’re not just focused on meeting the standard expectations of vision correction; we strive to exceed them. When we say that “most patients see better than 20/20,” here’s what we mean:
What is 20/20 Vision?
The term “20/20 vision” is used to describe normal visual acuity, or the clarity and sharpness of vision, measured at a distance of 20 feet. If you have 20/20 vision, you can see what an average individual can see on an eye chart when standing 20 feet away.
However, achieving 20/20 vision does not necessarily mean perfect vision. It simply represents a benchmark for what is considered normal visual acuity.
Exceeding Expectations: Our Patient Outcomes
To substantiate our commitment to delivering exceptional results, we’ve conducted an extensive review of our patient outcomes over the past year. From August 2023 to August 2024, we evaluated the last post-operative visits of over 2,100 patients who underwent LASIK, ICL, and CLR procedures at ClearSight.
The results are clear: 67% of these patients now experience vision that is better than 20/20. This significant achievement highlights the advanced technology and expertise we bring to vision correction, ensuring that many of our patients enjoy visual acuity that surpasses the standard benchmark.
Commitment to Advanced Care
Our team of doctors use the latest in surgical technology and techniques to provide tailored treatments that meet the unique needs of each patient. We believe in not only achieving but also surpassing traditional outcomes, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care and vision improvement.
