Premium Cataract Surgery

“ClearSight has been outstanding! From the moment I walked in everyone was very nice, informative and I was able to get my procedure done and my vision was better the very next day!”
– Marcus C., ClearSight Patient

No More Cataracts.
No More Glasses.

A life without glasses. See far and near!

Cataracts are a part of life for most of us as we age.  Thankfully, this can be a great time to not only get the vision back that we’ve slowly lost over time, but make it even better!  With premium cataract surgery, your ClearSight surgeon can help you achieve the vision you’ve always wanted.

Premium cataract surgery allows for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia in addition to removing the cataract.  The procedure does this through an assortment of customized intraocular lenses.

We Do Cataract surgery differently

You only have cataract surgery once.

Cataract technology has improved significantly over the last few decades.  With premium cataract surgery, you can now have the vision you’ve always wanted – glasses free!  You only have one chance to choose the right technology for your eyes.  Our ClearSight doctors specialize in determining what technology you qualify for and what lenses will help you achieve the type of vision you’ve always wanted.

Who is a Candidate?

While not everyone is a candidate, we recommend Premium Cataract Surgery for most people that have cataracts and are dependent on readers, bifocals, and contact lenses.

Is it Safe?

Premium Cataract Surgery is one of the safest and most widely performed medical procedures in the world. This procedure has been refined over the last 60 years.

What makes Premium Cataract Surgery worth it.

More Details about Premium Cataract Surgery

Refinement If Needed

We know that choosing a surgeon and technology can be intimidating.  We at ClearSight stand by our results.  That means that every patient will come back for an exam once fully healed from their premium cataract procedure. At this exam we will see if there are any refinements that can or need to be performed to customize your vision to the level that you want.  20/20 is great, but we always go for better than 20/20 if possible!

How it works

Based on your goals and your eye anatomy, you and your ClearSight Surgeon will determine the customized lens technology for you.

The procedure itself usually takes around 10 minutes per eye, and we typically perform premium cataract surgery on both eyes on the same day.  The first step consists of the removal of your cataract through a very small opening.  The second step is placement of the new lens where the old one used to be.

STEP ONE

Removal of Cataract

STEP TWO

Placement of New Lens

STEP THREE

Positioning of the New Lens

It also means most people are a candidate for something and that the majority of our patients achieve vision that is better than 20/20!

More FAQs about Custom Cataract Surgery

IS PREMIUM CATARACT SURGERY PAINFUL?
No. Premium Cataract Surgery is typically painless. The patient will undergo local anesthesia before the procedure to ensure against feeling any discomfort. Patients may feel some brief discomfort as the anesthetic wears off. It is common for patients to have slight discomfort or itching around the eye in the days after a Premium Cataract Surgery, but this usually goes away quickly. In most cases, over-the-counter medications are more than enough to treat any discomfort the patient may be feeling.
Although each patient’s recovery following Premium Cataract Surgery is unique, the final outcome–clear vision and greater independence from visual issues–should be the same. The first part of the healing process after a refractive lens exchange usually lasts a week. The majority of the patient’s daily activities should be resumed at this stage. Most patients will instantly realize after having eye surgery that their eyesight is better than it was before the procedure. They will still have dilated pupils, however, which will cause some degree of visual blur. There should be a visible improvement in eyesight when the pupil returns back to normal size. The surgery should have improved the patient’s visual acuity, and within 24 hours your distance vision should be normal. Reading vision and upclose focus often takes longer to improve, but with a multifocal IOL reading vision should get sharper in three to five days. You might notice halos around lights during the first few months of the healing phase. The patient should make a follow-up visit with the eye surgeons approximately a week following the eye operation. The eye will be examined to check on the eye’s healing and make sure the vision correction was satisfactory. A final one-month appointment will be planned if everything seems to be going well to ensure that eyesight has stabilized and that the prescription eye-drop therapy has finished working. If the patient’s second eye is being operated on at a different time, this procedure will take place on the same schedule.
The short answer is yes, you can. In contrast to refractive lens exchange surgery, which replaces the lens within the eye, LASIK addresses the cornea. To put it simply, one will not exclude the possibility of the other. To correct vision at all distances, high-performance multi-focal lenses may also be utilized.
We are glad to say that all of our procedures are virtually painless. We will provide you with everything you need to calm your nerves and keep you comfortable throughout your procedure.
You can expect to be seeing better the very next day, and most people can return to a light work load just a couple days later. With Premium Cataract Surgery, there is a lifting and bending restriction for one week, so you may need more time off depending on what you do for work. LASIK patients can typically drive the very next day and be back to work in a day or two.
Even though LASIK and other refractive surgery is great for some people, it isn’t perfect for everyone. LASIK is great for fixing distance vision and astigmatism, but it can’t help you get rid of readers or bifocals. The great news is that Premium Cataract Surgery can fix your nearsightedness, far-sightedness, and astigmatism all in one procedure, meaning you can get rid of all of your glasses!
Without vision correction, the answer is yes. Once you find yourself needing readers, your vision will only continue to get worse as you age. Eventually the hardening of your natural lens will turn into a cataract, which will leave your vision cloudy and blurred at all distances. But with Premium Cataract Surgery, those natural vision changes would no longer be an issue for you!
Premium Cataract Surgery is considered one of the safest medical procedures and millions of people around the world have it done every year. Every procedure comes with the possibility of risks, but in this case they are very uncommon and usually easily resolved with treatment.
Premium Cataract Surgery is considered an elective procedure, so insurance companies won’t offer coverage. However, you can use HSA or FSA money towards your procedure cost.
When you add up the cost of yearly exams, new prescriptions, and expensive glasses or bifocals, it ends up being a lot of money over the life of your eyes. We find that patients actually save money over the life of their eyes by getting Premium Cataract Surgery. We also offer 0% interest financing and low monthly payment options to make sure it works with your budget. You can give us a call to figure out your best payment option!

At ClearSight, our goal is glasses free vision! The majority of our patients who have Premium Cataract Surgery can expect to be able to do their normal daily activities without any glasses. Blended LASIK patients can expect the same result, but your natural lens will continue to harden and the need for readers will be more noticeable, at which point you want to proceed with Premium Cataract Surgery.

The only way to determine which procedure is right for you is to schedule your free exam and get an official recommendation from our doctors. You can also take our quick SELF TEST to find out which procedure may be right for your eyes.
