Glasses and contacts were a daily struggle for Martha and Jorge. Listen as they share their life changing ClearSight experiences with you.
Jorge: I got glasses when I was nine years old. At first, I got diagnosed with astigmatism right off the bat. Since I grew up, I had realized that I didn’t like wearing them. I tried contacts and my eyes would just dry out on me horribly.
Martha: Contacts is definitely a struggle to put in daily and glasses are uncomfortable. Without them, I couldn’t see a menu in restaurants. If I was looking for an address, I couldn’t see the next street coming up.
Jorge: I went to the Master’s this last year and I was wearing my glasses. I had to cover my eyes. After that, I was like, “I have to do it.” I want to be able to wear a pair of shades so I can see what’s going on. This is an event that I have to be able to see. As soon as I got here, everyone’s being so nice, they’re explaining everything so thorough.
Martha: I was really nervous, but they were like, “Don’t be nervous. It’s just of a blink of an eye and it’ll be over with.”
Jorge: He talked to me for about 10 minutes and it was over. I was like, “Oh. Man, why did I put it off so long?”
I find myself doing a lot more photography, which I love to do. Before I couldn’t do it because it just, it’s kind of annoying. I’d get smudges on my fingers. Whenever I’m going to the pool or something like that, I don’t have to worry about what am I going to do with my glasses. I’m even trying to convince my sister to come in and do it.
Martha: I was not even worried about the price, actually. I said, “If it’s lifetime changing for my own good, I wasn’t really worried about it.” They did a good job trying to help me out on any financing available they had.
