Kayla had been wearing glasses and contacts for most of her life and was ready for a change. Now life’s a lot easier for her thanks to LASIK!
Kayla: I started wearing glasses in about sixth grade, and then I hated glasses so I switched to contacts. Which I did pretty well with those. The main problem I had with contacts is that it would take me forever in the mornings, because if there was even like a tiny spec of dirt or anything on them I would have to wash them off and re-put them in, and then take them out again, and re-rinse them off.
A friend at work, her husband had it done here, and he had like nothing but wonderful things to say about it. It just seemed like they had the most experience, from what all I could tell when I researched all of them online. They had fantastic reviews, so it just was something that made me feel really comfortable.
It was really smooth. I came in and it just seemed like that it was like a well-oiled machine. They just kind of took me from one place to the other. They kept me nice and relaxed, and they explained everything really, really well. The whole time they made me feel really comfortable. The worst part was like the suction on my eye, and it was just pressure. That's all I really felt. There was really no pain, so it wasn't bad at all.
I don't have to worry about having eye drops with me, or extra contacts, and when I go on vacation I don't have all this huge extra bag I have to pack every single time I go on vacation. It's just so much easier.
It was really easy how we got financing. We decided to put a little bit down, just so our payments were a little bit more manageable, but even that they're not that bad at all. It's way less than a car payment. I really don't even notice it coming out of our expenses every month.
Your eyesight is never going to get better on its own, so every single day you wait it's just another day that you're having to deal with contacts and glasses, and another eye appointment you're having to pay for, another glasses prescription you're having to pay for. It's never going to get less expensive, so why not do it now, and just get it paid off, and be done with it?
