I had Lasik, I did it. Coming in I had a little bit of jitters. I felt really confident that they would take good care of me, but just kind of the anticipation of this is it, this is it, and they did a good job at providing some comfort with a warm towel, and the little anti-anxiety pill to take.
Before I knew it, it was time to lay down and let Dr. Luke do his work. He was very great at talking me through each step of the procedure, coaching me, telling me it was going well, doing fine, and I decided to lay there basically and he did all the work.
At the pre-op exam -- without any contacts, any glasses in -- he asked me to read the chart, and everyone knows it's the big 'E' but it was still very, very blurry. I said I know it's an 'E' but it's completely blurry. Today he skipped all the way down to the bottom of the chart, and I was able to read a very tiny row which gave me 20/16 vision. I think my vision is only going to improve. This is just day one post-op, so that was a pretty cool moment.
