"You can go to these places that do the surgeries for a minimal amount, but just remember these are your eyes, the only set you have, so go ahead and do whatever it takes to get the best care possible." - Kelly Here is more of Kelly's story: My vision was 20/400 before I came in and now it is 20/12, which is better than 20/20 vision. It is just marvelous! Most of my problems with my vision were not necessarily being able to see distances but the fact that it was a double vision. I had a lot of astigmatism. I had trouble reading signs, reading words, reading anything. I could see that it was there. I just couldn't tell what it was. I am a music director, and most of the time my music and my words are a good two feet away from me. It made it just awful. I had toric lenses, which every time I blinked they would right themselves and I could ordinarily see. But, occasionally one would defocus and all of a sudden the words would just kind of disappear on the page and merge together. When you are relating worship and making up words as you go along it can be very confusing to the congregation. I had the surgery on a Thursday and the very next day was Good Friday, right before Easter. We had a Lord's Supper worship service and I was able to read the words and see people's faces. It was a marvelous experience for me to be able to do that for the very first time, and the day after surgery. One of my choir members had the same procedure about a year ago. She heard that I had been doing some shopping around and calling various places, and she said, "You have to call these people and talk to them first before you make any decisions". As soon as I did I was hooked. I just dropped in one day and began to talk to some of the staff here. They are wonderful folks. I was very pleased with my friend and very thankful to her for dropping me the ClearSight name. If someone is just nervous about the whole thing I would say to them, "you can go to these places that do the surgeries for a minimal amount, but just remember these are your eyes, the only set you have, so go ahead and do whatever it takes to get the best care possible." I had talked to Daniel and worked out the package that I was comfortable with. We were signing the paperwork when my wife says, "nope this isn't good enough" and walks over and changes it. She wants the 'Cadillac'; she ups the package because she wants me to have the 20/20 guarantee and the lifetime commitment. So if in 10 to 15 years I need a correction I will be able to have it done at no charge. She said, "These are your eyes we want the best we can get." So she upped the package to whatever it took to do it right." I tell everyone I can, "you can get it done for a whole lot less, but don't, go ahead and do whatever it takes to get it done well and done right."
