Here are a few more of Eric and Erika's comments:

Eric: "My vision was pretty bad without glasses.  I don't even know what the visual acuity was.  I could tell which direction the 'Big E' on the chart was going and that was about all I could do without my glasses." 

Erika: "Mine was a little better than his, but I couldn't read charts or pictures on the walls.  I think we started thinking about LASIK and the benefits of not having to get up in the mornings and put our glasses on.  It is definitely very nice to be able to read the clock across the room.  Not having to worry about it during the day with daily activities, especially with small children."

Eric: "I still get up in the mornings and try to put my glasses on so I am trying to break that habit.  I was on a business trip in Boston a week after I had the procedure and it started raining, I got into the car and thought 'hey, I don't have to wipe my glasses off.  This is really cool, I like this'."

Eric: "We did a lot of research about the different providers in the area and we found that there were a number of competent providers.  When it came right down to it, some people didn't want to take the time, but a couple of providers really took some good time with us.  Dr. Wilson's staff took the best of what we would call preop care, no pressure sales, whatever we needed.  The little things that they did along the way made us think, 'man, seems like they mean what they say'."
