Alicia's Story:

My vision was horrible.  I could never drive at night because I was so unsure of what I was seeing.  My depth perception was off really bad.  When I wore glasses I had a lot of headaches.

I was seeing 20/800 before my surgery and now I am seeing 20/16.  I noticed an immediate difference right after the surgery, and even though it was a little blurry, it was unbelievable!  I am so much more confident in my actions.  It has just been amazing.  Instead of just seeing shapes I can see more vibrant colors and more intricate details.  Everything is just amazing!  It is so nice to now look at my daughter's face and see when she is happy and smiles at me.  To actually be able to see the vividness and the realness in her face is just amazing.  It is wonderful.  My mom really enjoyed seeing my reactions to the things that I could see well.  My husband likes it a lot too.  When I get up in the mornings I don't have to scramble for my glasses to see the alarm clock.  Just every little thing makes a big difference. 

I had looked on the Internet and asked some questions about the different doctors.  One of the things that I really liked about Dr. Wilson was the fact that he is the main doctor doing the surgery and they have a separate doctor for the eye exams.  It was more that each person had a specific duty and specialty that they did.  It wasn't one person doing a generic job and that is what I really liked about it.

There were three or four different centers that I checked out on the Internet.  One of the places had what I would phrase as a generic doctor who basically did everything.  My concern was that if he did everything, then what was his specific specialty.  I wanted somebody that I knew was confident and had the training in what he was doing.  That is why I chose Dr. Wilson.
