What We Will Not Do
We won’t approve you for LASIK unless we know you’re an excellent candidate.
When complications have occurred with LASIK (less than 2% of over 12 million US patients), outdated technology and patients who were not good candidates in the first place were the two primary factors. Some eyes are simply not suited to LASIK. Even with today’s most advanced technology, about 30% of applicants at ClearSight are frankly advised to consider another method of vision improvement. Dr. Wilson will not recommend LASIK unless he knows he can achieve the outcome you want and that LASIK can provide.
We won’t rush you.
As Dr. Wilson says: “We’re not running a production line here at ClearSight, we’re never in a hurry, we never take short-cuts, and we’re answerable only to our patients – not a board of directors in another state. We’re being entrusted with our patients’ eye health and their hopes for the best vision they can achieve, therefore safety and excellence of outcome are our foremost concerns.”
We won’t treat you like a number.
Although Dr. Gary Wilson has personally performed nearly 40,000 procedures, an astonishing record of success in a medical field where 5,000 procedures is considered the benchmark, his focus is always on the person.
“I know my patients come to me with apprehensions and expectations, and my first step is to get to know them as individuals, settle their concerns, and then help them achieve 20/20 or better. I love my profession. I love what I do. I love providing the best vision possible for my patients, and I am just as excited and thrilled to perform my next procedure as I was with my first.”
We won’t dilate your eyes at the Free Consultation.
If you’ve ever had your eyes dilated you’ll probably expect to need a driver on the day of your LASIK Consultation. Dilating drops make your pupils really large and your vision blurry for the rest of the day, and many folks don’t feel safe driving after an eye exam with dilating drops. That’s why we don’t use them – instead we’ve invested in technology that actually gives us a BETTER exam for your eyes without the need for the medication. Occasionally there will be some patients who will need to have dilation. If that is the case we will set up a time that is convenient for you.
Also, we don’t insist that you’re out of your contacts before the Consultation. Some centers want you to be contacts-free a full two weeks before they’ll even tell you whether or not you’re a good candidate. While it helps us if you can switch to glasses for a few days before the exam, it is not essential for determining IF you’re a good candidate – and that’s what this exam is all about.
We won’t cut-rate your vision.
While affordability is a factor in any elective procedure, some centers may offer too-good-to-be-true discounts and price cuts. While $499 or $699 LASIK looks good on paper, the reality is that these price breaks are usually associated with outdated technology, which will not assure the best possible outcomes. Additionally, these prices are usually reserved for people with very small amounts of correction needed, so the vast majority of patients end up having to pay a higher price.
At ClearSight we don’t take that approach at all. We still make LASIK affordable but we do it without skimping on the quality of outcome by using the most advanced technology available for every patient.
We tailor our packages to suit your follow-up needs – reducing elements that may not be needed or desired – and provide excellent payment plans. This way you’ll be assured of achieving the best vision possible and that your budget is secure.
We won’t make our decisions as directed by bean counters in a far off corporate office.
One of the benefits of owning your own business is that you get to make all the decisions about the business – things like the type of equipment you’ll use and how often you’ll upgrade it, the number of people on the patient care staff, and the standards you’ll adhere to for your patients. Dr. Wilson is very particular about these things and makes sure the rest of us are too.
We won’t subject you to sales pressure.
Some folks shy away from the offer of a Free Consultation because they’re sure it will mean sales pressure.
Not at ClearSight.
The purpose of the LASIK Consultation is to verify that you’re a good candidate and confirm that you qualify for our 20/20 Money Back Guarantee program. Once those questions are out of the way, the ball is in your court. If you’re a good candidate for LASIK, we’ll be happy to discuss affordability whenever you like, and if you decide to schedule your procedure right then and there, that’s fine with us too. But we’re not running a production line – so relax and leave your concerns about sales pressure – and your checkbook – at home.
We won’t double-talk you on price.
The real bottom line with LASIK is quality of outcome. That depends on the surgeon’s skill and the technology he uses, but you’ll probably hear so many claims about price that you may lose sight of the priorities and get quite confused. Which claims are genuine? Which ones have hidden quality or technology issues? How do I get the best value?
To help you sort it out, ClearSight provides a Guaranteed Best Price For The Right Technology Program. This means we shop all the major centers in town and guarantee that our prices will be better for the same technology and follow-up care. You can do your own independent price research and come back to us with your findings – and we’ll better them without skimping on the technology we’ll use for your procedure.
We won’t leave you in suspense about your credit application.
We tailor our payment plans to suit your needs and your budget. Monthly payments can be as low as $90 or around $3 per day – and the good news is that everyone gets approved for low-interest financing, although some folks might need to make a down payment and have a checking account for automatic monthly payments.
We’ll help you apply on the spot and send you home knowing that you’re financially covered. Our online credit application and approval process can help you find out what your payments are likely to be immediately – even before you come into the office for the consultation and exam.
We won’t leave you wondering if you’ll really get what you hope for… Achieving the best vision possible for every patient is a commitment that begins with our Free LASIK Consultation, includes the most advanced LASIK technology available, and continues through our 20/20 Money Back Guarantee Program.
While many centers offer verbal assurances as to quality of outcome, Dr. Wilson is the only LASIK surgeon in OKC to back up his commitment in writing: ClearSight offers the only LASIK in OKC backed by a written 20/20 Money Back Guarantee.
